right spoke a member of our club today who has booked camping from friday and saturday that weekend. Will only be able to confirm it once the tickets come through though. He did say that the lady seemed foreign!

This seems the same as last year
when we booked they said that we were not allowed in on the friday night
but when we said we were with the model boat people then it was ok
if you dont say model boat show then they wont let you in on friday

I hope they do let us camp Friday, I'll try it on the day but when I rang up last Friday I did say I was coming for the Model Boat Mayhem weekend and she still said no to Friday camping. Dave.

No problem, when people ring up to book they MUST say they are with the model boat club/ Mayhem event, because officially it isn't open until the next day,

HOORAY, CAMPING SORTED, RESULT!!
All Mayhemmers CAN now camp from 10am on FRIDAY 27th. It seems some of their staff weren't informed that there was a special provision being made for us to stay from the Friday. You MUST say when booking you're with the Model Boat Mayhem weekend when as we're in a completely separate field from the other campers, also being charged a lower rate. Special tickets/passes are being sent out to us over the next few weeks. We're being charged £15 per night per caravan including awning (not sure if tents are different). I've also been advised that, anyone intending to camp from Friday 27th should arrive by 7pm at the latest. We're staying from Fri 27th, departing Tuesday 31st. Hope this clarifies the camping situation, cheers, Dave.

Well ive been and paid for camping on Friday and Sat night and the pass out for the weekend has been granted. YEP HE !!!
Going to Bring my Arun to upset the rest of the Lifeboat crew and my offshore boat to upset the rest. I will maybe put in some other boats just to keep me happy???

that's what i like to hear, dave.......got my model in a shop window with sponsor forms next to it.......local paper putting a spread in about us this coming week, so the more presence we have the more we make.

Now then all you need some grub to stick on the BBQ some drink to drink and share and a LOUD shirt to out do Martin. That about sums it up for Saturday night. Oh If you can manage a CLEAN joke that always goes down well. 1 more thing. Lights on your boat for the night sail. Most important thing is to come along and have a good time.
