maybe i should full read the topic title 1st...... {-)

Ok, with out going through everything which maybe i should before you all read this, but me, my cousion an friend are thinking off popping along to the event.

Now this will be our 1st time to wicksteed, an have no idea as what to see there. But we are more into fast electric racing! will there be anything there that we can relate to or is this more for the scale boater?

An what type off stalls (if any) will there be for us to look at FE wise?

many thanks

Battered black pudding for me, who wants the battered haggis and deep fried bounty bar

I will take the Haggis as long as it is freshly caught and goes in the frier alive and screeming  :D  :D

Is there a voucher to print off to get the carpark at a reduced rate like in previous years?

Remember to bring your wallets! 6705russell and Number 6 will be collecting for the Loch Ness Scale Sail if that's ok, so dig deep please, or give online at the site below. We can also take a cheque (payable to 'RNLI' and dated 2nd July 2011) many thanks, Dave and Russ.  :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi,

What is the best way to get from London to Wicksteed (Kettering) if one do not have a car? Train? And how to get from Kettering Station to Wicksteed Park?

No firm plans to go. Will see what the weather's doing on the day. May sling some stock in the car if it's OK. If not, well at least I get to keep all my fingers intact.

hi Helge,

East Midlands Trains serve Kettering from Saint Pancras station

walk up Station Road to Queensberry road, Turn Right onto Queenberry road...
...cross over Headlands onto Broadway
Continue to London Road, (A6003) and turn RIGHT
you will then come to a roundabout with a garage  by it (now disused according to google street view), - on your right hand side
cross over roundabout
You will then pass a pub called the wayfarers inn, keep on going till you come to a second roundabout, go over it onto Barton road
there will then be some railings on your right, this is Wicksteed park, the entrance is a short distance on your RIGHT
