Need advice for buying new motor
« on: July 27, 2010, 04:44:34 pm »

Hello,I`ve a bait boat(D.A.M. - D-Fender) that works on 6V,but he motor stopped working and I`m looking for something appropriate with the same size and specifications to change it.There is nothing written on the motor.

Dimensions of the motor:
Diameter:62.2mm
Length: 67mm
Diameter of shaft: 5mm
Free shaft 10-14 mm
Amperage idle 2A
Battery:7AH 6V

I`ve open it and saw that there is no  cooling on the rotor and brushes.
Can I change it with this motor  8.4v (Graupner Speed 700BB Turbo 8.4V ) or something better and where I can buy it?
Technical specifications of the boat:
Dimensions: 55 x 27 x 28 cm 6kg
6V DC
It was moving with 7km/h I`d like to move with around 10km/h with the new motor

Or maybe this motor is more appropriate?

The 720 Torque is an excellent motor but too slow on your 6v supply, whereas the Speed 700BB 8.4v is probably too fast. We now have stocks of a new 5-pole general purpose 755 motor which will turn @ about 3500RPM (no load) on 6v and do the job well. PM me for details if you like.
