2.4 ghzTransmitter

I  am looking to upgrade my Trent Lifeboat from 2 chanel to 4 or 6 chanel, I would like some advice on a 2.4ghz transmitter What make and model of transmitter would you recommend I would like something that has at least 80mtrs range.

Nothing wrong with planet 5, very good for the money, but if you more functionality and programmability for the future, check out the Spektrum stuff, a 6i is fully programmeable. Depends what you need.

I would recommend something that can be programed, with multiple model memory. With a programmable radio you can have proportional throttle control and many other features. The reason for multiple model memory is if you need the rudder servo in one boat to be reversed you won't accidentally run into something because you forgot to throw the correct switch. One other reason to buy a better than bottom shelf is that the better radios have better customer service :-)).
