Hi there, cheers for the compliment. The wide opening of the Kort faces towards the bow, narrow to the stern. It forces the water through the slightly narrower opening giving more 'thrust'. You'll also notice on mine that the Kort mount is on the outside of the hull, usually they're inside but I was limited with the amount of room I'd got to play with. The gantry on the back has been a great addition too, very handy for rescuing other boats as I can just hook onto the railings, also good for removing big branches out of the lake!
