Robbe Dusseldorf Fire Boat
« on: February 07, 2007, 09:20:40 pm »

I'm sure that a while ago somebody was asking about plans/build instructions for this model. I now have a part build example and need the photo's that go along with the instruction manual. At several points the manual refers to 'photo 12' etc. I'm missing these photo's and they would be a great help especially in sorting out the complicated monitors.

Many Thanks.......

Thanks Chugbug... I have the manual (black magazine type book, typewritten description of the build) but it refers to pictures/photos during the text, it's these pics I'm missing, do you have these.
I assume they are pic,s, showing the various components and how they go together ?

Thanks

Max

Brilliant.... You should be promoted, ( Martin ).   Yes. I'd be grateful for all you've got, if it's no use to you anymore. If you need it back i will get it all copied.

Many Thanks

Max...

Greetings - if I recall - there may be a couple of photos missing in the instructions. I have a partly started one as well. Have you seen the Dusseldorf site - a few building hints there as well. I can't find the link here, could post it later as its on the house computer. Someone else here may have it as I found it here.
I'd be interested in hearing how your build goes as I really should finish mine (started it about 20 years ago!)
Regards,
mike

Hi,
I put these two links on a few weeks ago, but here are the links again

http://www.flb2.de/ - This is the main Dusseldorf site, showing the actual boat, you really have to browse to get the full effect.

http://flb2.muelhoefer.info/ - This is the modelling side of the above site, again you need to browse. 'Kurz' means short version, 'Lang' is the later stretched version, but a lot of the material is still relevant.

Mine is a year into it's build and maybe another year to go (I do model engineering as well), but I am trying to make mine as 'scale' as possible.

Great - those are what I couldn't find.

One thing I did wrong - I masked off the window areas with a brush-on mask and went ahead and painted the superstructure. I didn't remove the masking right away and now am having a horrible time trying to scrape it without scratching the window area. I have been contemplating cutting them out and redoing them.

I'll see if I take a couple of photos and post them.

Thanks, Mike/Boggy Standard.

I've looked at the sites, wish I could understand German, but great sites lots of red boats......I've enlisted the help of Master Boat builder 'Jenno' so he's now sweating over the 'task'....When its finished I'll post a few pic's on the water. Many thanks for all the suggestions, keep them coming..

Hi Shane,

If you PM me with your address etc. I can let you have the plans that were donated to me by ChugBug. Obviously if you buy the Robbie kit you would get all you need with it. I've completed the model now, still got some teathing probs to overcome but i don't need the plans/build instructions anymore.
