perhaps I should rephrase the wording slightly, from "normal clubs" to "some clubs", and from "politics" to "internal politics" if you get my gist.LOL

I fear that, despite the best of intentions, internal politics will frequently become an issue. Just as they do on Mayhem. You can't stop it really, although you can manage it. In one of the clubs I once belonged to one official ran off with another official's wife - you wouldn't believe the trouble it caused!

Daft b***er, I'd have ran off with his boat..far less problematic and it wouldn't spend dosh like its going out of fashion like a woman does... %%

PS Where is this new club, for those who are down Cornwall on holiday and might want to pop along...

Hi Cloggie.

Your profile image appears to have gone walk about.  Might be better to load a fixed one from your computer into the Mayhems site.   :}

Hi Cloggie, as I said, the club is not really a club, as we know it.there are no rules no meetings,and no fixed venue we are just acquaintances who enjoy the hobby,without any of the hassle prevalent in so many clubs. We go our own ways,and have fun. one member sometimes joins me on exhibitions at vintage rallies,etc,where I show my model lifeboats to help raise funds for the RNLI.If anyone is down this way, PM me and perhaps we could meet up somewhere in west Cornwall ?
Cheers,
Mick

Thanks Ken, I hadn't noticed. Sorting out thousands of photographs on photbucket account to make them more manageable and I'd unwittingly blocked loads of links of photos to posts all over the place...

Just to inform all that this Club has ceased.It had achieved what it set out to do,and by unanimous consent was wound up.
