Hey hey hey, I have to ask it, I'm waiting for the paper that tell me that I'm officially retired, that day I get a money bonus, SWMBO order to me that with that money We will go to England, maybe it will be in June, so if I will be in London, winch is the way to Wickteed, and it is permit to bring some Tequila with me?????

Hi Godo,

Hope you will come to the Mayhem annual get-together. If you are staying in London, then the lake is up the main motorway called the M1. It's probably a two hour drive (maybe local members will be more precise ? )

Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd are the days. I have booked my Hotel and they say there are vacancies. See my 1st letter above.

Maybe other members will join me as it's only £37 each.

Easier route from London is the A1 and A14. Two hours should be plenty as it's about a 90 mile trip.

Uploading streaming video via a prepaid dongle will be quite expensive (High Data Usage)
plus a Laptop Webcam is hardly a 'HandyCam' if you want to show the shenanigans on the lake.

You will need an hd webcam, a laptop and a wireless dongle / Mi-Fi. You will then need to be connected to an online cam service such as Youcams or Twitcam (for twitter users).

I can supply the webcams if you wish? With 12 meters of cable for walkies.

An IP camera would be more ideal, but we wouldn't have an ethernet connection.

If you have one of those fancy phones and a good allowance of internet usage you can actually turn your phone into a wireless hotspot, routing your Pc/webcam via that.

Why not just use one of those tiny camera's that transmit the signal (on 2.4 Ghz) to a base station receiver then link this to a lap top and post it on you tube, both the camera and RX run off a 9v external battery....I bought one for on board boat shots about a year ago....cost £19 inc p&p from Hong Kong, Signal range is approx 1km on a greenfield site

Would be the most economical way of getting some video on t'interweb.

ps Don't ask as I can't remember who the supplier was...got it off eBay, there are now some UK based sources of this type of equipment, again on eBay.

Hoping to convince Dad to come to Wicksteed this year, perhaps for a camp over too?
Any details would be useful on the camping side, I know its probably on here somewhere but still, if you're feeling kind... :)
