They said in 1918 it would be a " LAND FIT FOR HEROES " that never came true so I don't take too much notice of predictions. I have packed my soap and towel and just hope that the weather runs true to form for Mayhem get togethers would hate to miss my annual bath. Her from the kitchen will be with me this year and I think she wants words with Martin cos I bought him a Burger last week a MMM and he didn't show so I had to eat it myself ( that makes two I had ) wear your hard hat Martin ( as a word of warning she used to kick start the aircraft for BA )

My kids are taking me to the Lakes, and were going for a cruise in a self drive motot boat on Windermere......so will be on the water in spirit, at least, lol.

Tentative Events Scheduled:

Up to 10:00 - Free sailing

10:00 - Springers / Seaports- Tugboats & Merchantmen

10.30 - Duck race / Straight Running

11:00 - Navy & launches

11:30 - Launches, speed boats, fast electric

12:00 - Grand Parade - Free sailing

13:00 - Club 500 / Straight Running

14:00 - Lifeboats - Yachts

15:00 - Club 500 & Fast electric - Tug Towing

16:00 - Grand Parade ..... Free sailing.

There will be a Major Steering event on Sunday with Mayhem Awards!

Well got ou of Olympic village through the tunnel I have been digging there there for the last 7 months, so now I an free. And as a first ever this year I am well ahead of the game.
Boats all checked and ready, caravan loaded and stocked (beans and beer) Tea Urn clean and shiney (thanks to new better half) large stock of Tea bags, coffee and cups for Mayhem central control, radio gear seems to work, but what do I know. Waders checked for leaks, yes they do have some. Camping booked (I will be arriving Thursday and leaving Monday--see well ahead) Markers for the straight running all ready (not sure but rumor has it Stavros has a holigan straight runner....oh

!!)
So all in all ------ I'm ready , pity that some of our chums will miss it, but I'm sure we will have a little toast to them.
PS Do we know if a camping area has been marked out for us Mayhemers (as I'm probaly going to be the first there--followed closely by Stravros and Mrs Stavros)
