Well first of all the Wallasey model boat society members would like to thank Neil, Stavros (Dave), Number 6 (Dave) , These guys had to travel a fair bit in order to attend. We would also like to thank Thelongbuild (Larry) and the rest of the lads from Runcorn and also Norsman (Dave) to finished his night shift had a bit of sleep and still made it over, Credit to you all. Right onto the day, well the day went far better than we expected. I have not seen so many boats around the lake as we seen today, there was quite a large crowd of onlookers around the lake who all stayed even through the rain. The raffle went down a storm, lots of money taken along with the face painting and also the snacks and drinks stall all done very well. So all I can say is a BIG THANKYOU to all that attended. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Stav....believe it or not...the ultimate failure of Smuts was............a small 30mm long link wire ( black from one chock block to another cutting the power off from the battery to both motors.....and it was underneath the main clump of wire....had just removed itself from the screw block............Now how can that happen when it was tested two nights ago and all things worked........the black art of electrics......and ME.....the two don't mix...found it tonight when I stripped it all down. sod's law....all fixed now.

and my favorite of them all was seeing all the lifeboats lined up as one for a photoshoot by Dave Wooley....but by the time I'd noticed, they'd all drifted around somewhat, lol

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK ALL THAT HELPED AND TOOK PARK IN MAKING THE RNLI FUND RAISING DAY  A FANTASTIC  DAY  !!!!  THANKS TO ALL THAT TOOK PART AND  MANAGED TO TURN UP FOR THE EVENT EVEN THOU WEATHER WASNT THE BEST  THANKS AGAIN

Hi all, Just to let you all know the amount raised yesterday for the R.N.L.I.New Brighton was £1458.47 so alli i can add to this is a BIG WELL DONE to all those that turned out on the day. As a model boat society we can only hold an event like this but we have to count on the support of others to make it happen, and as it was seen yesterday it happened in a big way.
So from all members of the Wallasey Model Boat Society many thanks to all. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) And hope to see you all again next year when we do it all again.
