Does anyone else think we might break 7000 members by the end of the year?

If you check the stats at the bottom of the page we average 5.8 new members a day so it looks pretty likely!!

We're gonna need our own forum soon to stop us clogging Mayhem up. Between You me and Carl nobody can get a word in sometimes.

Sadly although the 7000 may be reached that is not the true number Sadly its likely to be a fair bit less.Members pass over.Only join for one or two questions. No doubt Martin can advise as to the score of active members within say the last year.Having said that its still a great site.John.

It's not actually a question of how many there are left.  It's down to how many want to join this Top Model Boat club.   :-))

ModelBoat Mayhem ---   the best club in the world.

John does have a point, I've seen members join, post a few times and the just disappear. If all the guests currently viewing the forum joined today and hopefully stayed with us we'd have over 7000 by the end of the day.

We have 6,954 members at present, some of these have registered and never ever posted. I do not think we should be worrying about when the 7000th member joins, just know they will because of how good Mayhem has become.
This is all down to the members who regularly post and make Mayhem what it is, a wealth of information that people interested in model boats want to read and contribute to. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Hmmm.... interesting Riggers, however I thing everyone should give the highest poster 10p each.

Hi, There may be a lot like me, I have been a member for over 3 years. This will be my 30th post, so not even 1 a month. However I am on the site nearly every day. So a better measure would be how many members log on rather than how many post.

Some join, because it is sometimes necessary to enable viewing of images.  O0

Also, not everyone has anything to say or are confident in an open forum.  {:-{ {:-{

Remember that link that martin provided to cyber commados who anonymously bully posters <*< <*< >>:-( >>:-(.

It is still going on and needs to be restated. O0 O0

It kind of feels I've opened a can of worms with this one. I was only an observation of how great Mayhem is and how it's feels to to me like I have a brilliant group of friends or even an extended family. Like friends and family, you might not always get on but I for one wouldn't change it for the world.

MAYHEM IS FANTASTIC AND IT'S YOU LOT WHO MAKE IT WHAT IT IS. Thanks to Martin for setting it up and thanks to my fellow members for making myself and others feel welcome.

Estimated day for the 7000th member

The day and time is not known by the committee and can only be  "guessed at"  as it is a totally random occurrence.

I will start this off by guessing the 16th December

                                  Any further bids    :-))

There may be 6958 of us, but only 3300 have actually posted anything, and only 2750 of them have posted more than once.

If we say that a 'regular contributor' is someone that has posted more that a hundred times, the number drops to 410.

Andy :-)
