Lovely bit of weathering on your boat, most realistic I've seen!

Some more winged things. A mother Osprey (Sea Eagle)I disturbed (she is up a 25 foot electrical pole), and a cardinal with a small friend this past winter.

Lots of great pictures here, I do mainly nature, scenic, & wildlife.Living in Canada near the rocky mountains is just the place for outdoor photography. I have driven to Alaska 5 or 6 times it is awesome. I have been to Yellowstone in excess of 60 times it is the Serengeti Of north America. I find that photography at a serious level slows you down & makes you look at things in more detail. When I visit different places I try to photograph it as a story, I then put it together as a slide show with music background( I try to get local music if possible) I have made several trips also to Olympic national park.My favourite subjects are Grizzly bears, sunsets & waterfalls. When I figure out how to load images into my computer & then on to this forum I will do so.(watch this space) Mick B.

Howdy folks,

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced digital point and shoot camera that can give me good magified up close images?  My Cannon SD450 is just not up to the task of photographing close up details of my models.  Thanks for any help here.

Best regards,

Dennis

Look at the Nikon P300. A superb camera in low light. It has an excellent close up facility and shoots full HD video. I have one to supplement my D7000 DSLR and would not swap it for anything. You can get it now for less than 200quid, which is a bargain...
