Hi

Great event this coming weekend.  Great bunch of people, nice place, nice boating lake what more could you ask for?

The Vintage Model Boat Company will also be there selling his kits of classic/vintage boats ie: from the Aerokits and Yeoman range which are well worth a look.

A great day out if you're interested in old model boats.

Regards,

Sounds like reliving all those boats that I desired as a child but never got - most of which I never saw built or running in real life but only in catalogues and those boxes of desire at the local model shop. Wish I was going to be with you but Fleetwod is a long way from Norwich.

Please supply lots of pictures so that I can lounge in nostalgia at a distance.

Have a great weekend.  :-)

PS That just triggered a memory moment that I haven't thought about for 50 years. When I was a kid Lewis' department store in Bristol had a static model boat display every year - well it felt like every year - mainly featuring sail but I am sure that I remember power as well. Imagine a major department store doing that now!

Fleetwod is a long way from Norwich.

But not very far from Liverpool so I will pop up ........ my Hales Spraymaster (early fifties) isn't ready for the water yet; pity

.........Yes, Lewis's Liverpool also had a great toy dept in it's day

Hi,

Sounds interesting. Is the day aimed at vintage and classic models as against models of vintage and classic boats?

If its the latter, I have a model of an old drifter that had a part at Dunkirk I might be able to bring.
