At 1:12 scale the Dolls House "equipment" is magic. Or was. Building the "Admirals Barge" at this scale, I sort of assumed that things like door handles would still be as available as they were when I built my 1:12 version of "Bluebird of Chelsea". Alas....many of the bits of door hardware seem to have gone walk-about.
With very few exceptions, the sheer quality of Dolls House fittings puts the offerings to the Marine fraternity into the category of "poor" (at best). They also tend to offer a better and more comprehensive range of "decorative" timber than do the boat people. BY.

The one at Abergaveny is rather good, Brian.  I get my tiny hinges from them.

Thank you all, sirs, for your kind replies. The main things I shall eventually require are the sort of door handles that are vertical and pivot at the base. They are for a pair of sliding doors. Really, they are just like all the handles on our interior doors. It'd be a simple thing to turn the operating lever from horizontal to vertical. Also easy enough to simply make them from bits of brass wire, but the sheer quality of the cast brass ones beggars belief......if I can find them again. Cheers. BY.
