Not too much progress recently, but i have finally got the motors, ESC's and radio all installed and working now. I have also made the removeable wheelhouse floor - i made this removeable just in case anything inside needs fixing at a later date. And i think i have almost finished the radar scanner and mounting.

Hi Neil, seeing her afloat for the first time made all the work seem worthwhile. There are still a few details that i haven’t been able to include, because i am lacking any detailed photos showing what they looked like. What i am missing is the Starboard Spare Anchor stowage arrangement; the Drogue  stowage arrangement, and internally any details of what the watertight door to the rear cabin looked like, as well as the door/hatch to the engine Room, plus any other details of what was included inside the wheelhouse. If anyone has any photos of these items they can share, they would be gratefully received!

Not being a lifeboat person I don't normally comment on these threads but I just want to say that is a great looking boat you have made there.

Charlie.....the starboard Anchor fitting is just a standard lifeboat Fisherman's pattern type anchor with brackets like those on the Rother or any other post 1950's double ender lifeboat..........have a look at the three models I made the anchor brackets I used were very similar and will fit your boat.........I also think I have a few shots of the TGB....Longhope Watson.......will try and find them and post here. neil

here are the two brackets on TGB..................most probably the same as on the Solent, and the RNLI weren't noted for great changes in development until the Waveney came along when things hotted up a little. neil.

Hi Neil, thanks for the pics, most useful. What about the Anchor on the Port Side? From the photo it doesn't look like the same apparatus for attaching the Anchor is there. Would this one just be lashed to the railings do you think? It's difficult to tell from this photo!

sorry Charlie, wouldn't know about that one but if you join this site and look through the myriads of photos, or even give the lads a question I am sure one of the guys will be able to answer for you. neil.

That anchor on the Port side is just a spare lashed to the rails or anywhere else the crew wanted to stick it!
