Goole's first open day of the year this Sunday
« on: May 30, 2012, 08:32:47 PM »

Ok it's a bit late in posting  but we have our first open day of the year this sunday , and the weather looks looks it will be great .
We will have the usuall stalls serving hot and cold drinks with cakes/ buns , and there will be hot food available too , burgers etc from the lobby .
As far as i have gathered there will be raffles etc with a bottle stall for the adults as well as the kids and a few trophy's for various boats ,
the infamous raft race will also be on and no doubt as soon as we let them go the wind will drop off and they will sit in the middle of the pond doing nothing .
there is also be a new harbour (that i built) for the weary boaters to moor their craft whilst they are refreshed and a couple of RC tower cranes so you can have a play with .
There will also be some tows available (if you can handle them) as well as the tanker there is a set of tom pudding's which do require a strong tug to handle them (you have been warned   O0 ).
Gates open after 10 and theres plenty of monnitored parking along the side of the dry dock ajacent to the club pond,
and the forcast is for some commercial traffic in the dock as the tide will be up in the afternoon , but i will have to check on that .
Hope to see some of you pond side

Well that's a shame , there wont be any commercial traffic on sunday in south dock basin .
But there will probably be some leisure traffic .
