Hi I could get interested in making one of these trucks . Are there other options to Tamiya . I seem to remember Robbe made them as well. Are they as good.

The Tamiya one is at 1:14 scale but Bruder make some in 1:16 scale.

We sometimes go for Bruder trailers as they can be adapted to match up the wheels etc. for scratch builds.

Hope this helps

The main problem is getting them into this country. Originally they are only £230 but the postage alone is over £50 and you may get stung with import duty.

My wife says "why don't you go out in the workshop" so no worries there.  %)   Thanks for the compliments Eddie.  Next model on the design board.

Cheers

Have you seen Leadbeaters "Lost Legends" trucks Kenny? Paint jobs on a black cab and a deep maroon cab.

You would need tremendous brush control to replicate that in 1:16 scale.

Get the airbrush out and start practising Kenny  O0 O0 O0

You've obviously seen em Ned? Only saw the back of the maroon cab this weekend without a trailer. Based opposite me back door (metaphorically speaking of course).

dont the E W GARDNER & grandson trucks get your side of the bridge ken ? they are based in avonmouth and were hauling for simms metals , the trailers are typical scrap hauling bulkers and beaten to hell , but the tractor units are mostly scania and each is individually airbrushed with a different theme

I have been busy working on some scenery for the Truck clubs layout.

Here are some picture of the bridge and flyover system I've constructed. it all pulls apart, so here's hoping it will all go in the car.     %)

Yes it all fitted.  I couldn't get a picture as it was dark and raining when I set off today.

Here it is assembled on the dance floor.  The chains will take a while to construct and then there's the 1000's of white LED's to wire in.  Ho Hum
