That looks like a really good copy of a Nooteboom low loader trailer  :-))   The real thing would more than likely have steerable axles.  They are one strong and clever piece of plant!

It started life as a cheapie Bruder trailer, got cut in half, another section added, alloy channel underneath, deck planked, lights and beacon added, and finished up as you see in the photos below.

I think your conversion looks much more realistic.  Don't forget to put STGO CAT3 plates on it because loads as big and heavy as that can only be moved under a general order  :-))

Number plate, Abnormal Load plate, and STGO CAT 3 plates ready to fix after a splash of paint.  :-))

Thank you, kind sir...I was surprised how easily my Scania pulled it. And the Globeliner really did pull it, even when I loaded the hull up with a pile of batteries and steel bars, it just pulled away as if there was nothing there.

Are you going to tarp the top of the hull?

Not exactly...it will have a cover over it though, with the maker's logo on each side.

My latest project has been the construction of a single decker bus.

I have used the Tamiya chassis from the Volvo range and by altering various parameters like the chassis length and repositioning of components, I have produced a bus to look like the Stagecoach buses.

Here it is nearly complete and ready to run. If you are interested then, I can show various pictures taken throughout the build.

Hiya Rich, and thanks for the response.

It's been a bit quiet on this thread lately so I thought I'd show my latest project now that the boat has been finished.

I have the whole build blog on my other site and have used Photo bucket for the pictures so it shouldn't be difficult to copy them over to here.  The Bus is nearly finished as all I have left to do is the wiring up of the lights.  It runs around the floor under radio very satisfactorily so I'm in the market for as new project.   ok2  (we never close !!)

Give me time to get it all ready

Cheers

Looking forward to seeing the pics, Ken...just picked this up off eBay...brand new, all unopened for £200. The seller listed it in totally the wrong place, so it had no bids at all...well pleased with it. I've made a start on getting all the bits together before I start it...nice set of bling exhaust stacks, Poison motor, chassis infills, etc.

I couldn't transfer over the pictures as they are too large, so I've reduced a few for direct transmission to here.  Here is just a few to show the progression through the build.  There was a lot of work that went into this and so far the costs have exceeded 500 big ones  !!!

Enjoy.....

Them seats took a lot of time and whittling to achieve the final result.

The spray painting took 6 tins of Halford's best as I had all sorts of bleeding and problems.  Thanks to the guys I've found special tape and finally got there.  It was one of the most difficult spraying jobs I've ever done.  Even my wife likes it  (or is it the going into the shed for most of my days, out of her way  ??? )   {-)

Cheers

Wow...that looks awesome, Ken. You have far more patience than I, those seats would have driven me insane! Looks really classy...

Yes, I was pleased with the Scania for that sort of money...I bought a ready made gearbox for £35, swapped the motor out for my Poison, so that's the worst bit done. I remember all those dammed tiny C clips going 'ping' last time round, so I cheated this time.

My GlobeLiner is practically finished now, just one more piece of bling to add, a nice shiny chassis infill...and it's done. I dread to think of the financial outlay on that...luckily Lorraine doesn't read Mayhem, so I should be safe  :o

Keep up the good work on that bus, it's superb...

If that last photo had been taken on a Tarmac coloured surface I really would have thought it a bus in a depot. Love the seat detail Ken, super!

The most amazing seating I have seen on a model with the fabric pattern so true to life.
How did you do the pattern Ken?
Is it printed or hand painted?
