Harrogate is bit far for me, but thank you anyway. I'm in various Tamiya clubs and have joined the Bristol club as it's somewhere nice and warm to go in the winter when the lakes are frozen.    :}

I've been working on my latest trailer and here's a few pics.  It's a car transporter and is scratch built on top of commercial wheels and axles.  I had to buy the Aluminium  (what a price  mmh!!!) frames and angles but it was a challenge to fit it all together.  Finally, clad it in Plastic and now considering what colour to spray it.

Nice Transporter Kenny  :-))  You don't see enough of these on the RC Truck scene.

Did yo manage to decide on a colour for it? I think most seem to be Red, Blue or Black in the "real" world - I'd go with a nice deep blue perhaps if you haven't already.

- I'm just in the process of wiring up all my LED's for the Scania before I start 2 Custom trucks and a Custom Tanker Trailer! (Amongst about 3 boat builds!!!!!)  :embarrassed: %)

Thank you Adam.

Funny you should say Blue as I've just come in from spraying her that colour right now. I had to have the doors open and it was cccccold out there.  I hope the paint doesn't suffer.

Her she is before the stripping down.  As you can see there has been some drastic alterations  (trying to get it right)  along with some major purchases to tart her up a bit.   :}

I'm rushing to get her roadworthy for the Sunday meeting in Bristol.

Great minds think alike Ken! I'm sure the paint will turn out just fine - I can't do anything outside here as it's raining - but plenty to do in-doors!

 Looking brilliant there Ken with the full load of cars!

See.  It swayed you.    %)    It's the addition of the cars that sets it off.  I've been months trying to find 1:14 scale vehicles and believe me, it's not easy.  They are not R/C'd as per the £26 range on Ebay but in the bargain type shops for £3.99, and are meant for kiddies to push around. Still, they look good from a distance.

Yes it's raining and blowing something orrible down here, so I've retired indoors as well.

Cheers

Please put up a picture and we can value it for you.   :}

I honestly don't know the buying interest as they do come up on Ebay, ready built.  Me personally, am only interested in the constructing side as I'm finding, like my boats, that I don't really use them much when finished.

Don't forget the picture then.    :}

Today I wired up some side lights for the trailer.   20 LED's all on one resister. Connected it to 3 volt battery pack and left it on all afternoon.  Cheap to run.

Thanks Adam. They're supposed to be orange.   %)   Wonder what happened to the film.

I am going to the club meeting this Sunday.  It's at Yate, near Bristol if anyone is interested and we'll be there in the village hall for most of the day.  I've even met Boaties there, (coming in from the cold lakes in the winter I suppose)   :}

Enjoyed the meeting. Took plenty of pictures for their Web club so here's just one of my fleet on the circuit.

How long have you got Ken, Ive forgotten more than I can remember.

Model of one, MAN tractor unit with flatbed, though it was usually reefers.

Mercedes on fridge work.

Then there was British Leyland, Volvo, Scania, ERF, Bedford all of these different models over a period of time.

Trouble is the only photos I have are non digital and in the house somewhere.

That's great.   I was considering a  'Man' truck for my next build.  The kit is only  £370    (She can't see this small writing).

Now I've got a gap in builds I might as well get on with the Fairmile D

That's nice Dicky.  They have these at the club and I wondered if perhaps I should do one as I have a Volvo car.    %)

Been out in the workshop designing a tipper trailer but it got too cold to continue.  The mechanism on these beasts take some emulating to work properly.

Cheers

I have been beavering quietly away on the tipper trailer and here is the results.

I have arranged a lifting mechanism using a motor driving a long threaded shaft. This will be speed controlled from the T/X.
