She had a sad end as a troop ship carrying US service men she was rammed by another troop ship in foul weather and forced ashore on Islay.....with a loss of over 450 service folk, before she slipped off the reef into deeper water and sank.

Aerokits Fire Float - at the moment there are two original unstarted kits of the 34 inch fireboat on eBay. Quite unusual I would have thought for a kit that was last produced in the last century.

Portsmouth Harbour has a couple of spare berths, Just do a name change before sailing it in 'QE3' should do they'll never know the difference  {-) I'd buy it if I had room to put it

you are right RAF  it's a BYMS............stood for British Yard Mine Sweeper.I think that Sirmar models did a hull and fittings set for one some years ago.
