Thanks again Jason, just working out my To Do list.
Nav lights, interior lights, spot light, latching system for the wheelhouse, install rx and rudder servo. make a tiller arm, battery tray, mount bow fender, order a radio, make handrail for the front of the wheelhouse, make the liferaft canister and mountings, make steps for the rear engine room hatch, hatch for the rudder access , epoxy the bottom of the mooring posts..........test run..........start next model.

Thanks Dave, I have a lot of models that are too fiddly to be fun if you know what I mean, this one can be chucked in the car without fear of breakage.

Making portholes on the laser because I'm too lazy to cast them.
First, engrave away the face leaving the centre ring and rivet detail raised.

On the left of the photo you can see the glazing with an engraved ring to locate into the porthole.

Finally got a chance to test run the Preston today, I only had a 120amp esc on hand and this particular one will only run on 18 volt or over so the simple solution was to drop in 2x12volt 7amp gel cells and just go easy on the throttle........how hard could it be right?
1st picture is less than quarter throttle


2nd picture about 3/4 throttle


Flat out!


I think I may have o find a smaller speedy and drop back to 12volt  :embarrassed:
