Introducing Myself
« on: January 01, 2013, 03:25:50 pm »

Hi all, as a newbie I just thought I would introduce myself,

I am new to ship modelling but have made aircraft kits on and off for years.  Several years ago in a moment of madness I bought the Deans Marine kit of HMS Solebay.  I have fitted the running gear and am up to the point of fitting the decks so I shall be reading builds and asking questions soon!  I am about to move to Bristol from St Ives in Cambridgeshire so all my modelling stuff is boxed at the moment!  Hopefully I'll be building by March.

Looking forward to joining in.

Welcome Derek.  Hope your move to Bristol goes well.  There are a couple of good clubs in the Bristol area, including my own which is to the North of Bristol.

Our spring regatta is in April.  If you didnt have a boat up and running you would always be able to have a loan of one to have a bash at the course.
