HELP WITH EPOXEY RESIN
« on: January 14, 2013, 11:49:29 pm »

HI GUYS
i bought a  1 kg pack  R180 epoxy  resin yesterday AND A 5.1 RATIO mixing cup ( never used this brand before )  so its all marked out in how much base and how much hardener
HOW EASY IS THAT ?
so i put 200 m of base in and topped it up with the required amount hardener ( slow drying 60 min )
i then pored the mixed contents in to the model after waiting for a few min to let it catalys ,spread it round all  in side and then proceeded to put fine glass cloth strips in the turn of the bilges between the frames NICE
all GOOD so far went out to look at it  this morning and ITS STILL WET  ???? <:(
so now im not sure if its to much hardener or not enough ?
i have used a hot mix to set things off years ago when i did my freezer room on one of my real trawlers ( was using the western system 4.1 ) the guy at the R180 shop told me to much hardener is as bad as not enough as far as not going off is concerned
any tips on how to get it to go off ?  i have it out in the sun 28.c at the moment
cheers bob
