Hiya Everyone,
Just an Introduction post from an old Noob to the model boating hobby. I have modelled most things over the years, cars, planes, helicopters etc with the odd small boat kit here and there. Over the last decade however modelling kinda took a back seat due to work etc.
Having bought a model boating magazine on the spur of the moment a month ago I am now well and truly hooked
. I have joined my local club in Scotland, The Edinburgh Model Boat Club, and have been given some brilliant and very friendly advice. My love is all things Tugs, and whilst I am going to choose and start building my first kit very soon, I fell head over heels with a lovely Pre built Anteo for sale on the Interweb, long story short she is now mine and I have installed my new Spektrum radio system so she is good to go. My excuse was that I needed something to sail whilst building my next boat.
I would like to thank everyone on here that takes the time an effort to help and support noobs like me, without all your assistance I would never have been brave enough to take the plunge ( maybe not a good choice of metaphor
).
Anyhoo, that's me, really grateful to have found this forum and hope to get to know everyone better over the years. I am off to digest the Tugs forum, some brilliant stuff on there.
