Nice woodwork. What method did you use?


Thank's everyone, Tigertiger the sole is out of 7mm thick boards laminated onto a 12mm plywood backing to stop them cupping.

Stainless rubbing strips on and back wall epoxied in place, It was way to expensive to buy the polished strip so I bought plain old 40mm x 3mm stainless and spent days sanding it going from 80grit to 180 to 240 all the way up to 200 then a cutting compound.

Thank's, the finish is Norglass 2 pack polyurethane and the clear on the timberwork is Microshield premium varnish, possibly the nicest varnish I have ever used.

Here is the wheelhouse clamped in place with steel straight edges to hold it square while the epoxy dries.

I spent most of last week doing a mock up of the dashboard just to get an idea of how everything will fit.
