To all,
Well I'm the skipper and owner of this little tug boat. She has caused quite an interest everywhere she goes. I based her on a YTB (Yard Tug Boat) which I believe are used by the US Navy to assist their ships in the harbour areas. Not based at all on a real boat, but all from the Waverley kit and a bit of my imagination.
You will not meet a nicer helpful bloke than Mike Mayhew from Waverley Models. His shop (den) is an Aladdin's cave of modelling odds n sods and he has loadsa wee vac formed boats that make a change from the usual mainstream kits avail to us modellers. His wee prototype police boat he showed me was superb.
He has some interesting F/G hulls as well.
Last time I spoke to him he said he was having problems with his website so give him a call and he will sort you out.
The kit is vac formed with hull, deck, superstructure and clear plastic bridge. Its a 380 motor running on a 7.2v split battery which sits each side of the motor. The rest is up to you.

so would it be about 300mm or maybe less? also can anyone suggest a small brushless motor for it? maybe one of those quadcopter motors would do.
