Hi all, I had the Arun in the lake just over a week ago and hit a buoy that was full of water and only just visible, the impact on the rudder was so hard it dislodged the rudder shaft resulting in the boat taking on water very fast. By the time we lifted her out there was about 6/7 inches of water covering everything in the boat.....like the brushless motors..speed controllers.... lipo batteries and also my Action p100. In a way I was lucky that after leaving all to dry the only thing that's failed to recover was the Action p100.  <:( <:( <:(

hi all I am getting my arun ready for this season and as you can see in the photo above I have no fenders that hang over the side, so can anyone tell me if there is anywhere that sell rubber ones instead of the hard resin type.

Regards Dave.

I could not find one when I built my Arun so a mate of mine made one out of brass. you never know someone may know of a supplier.

I'm going to be getting on with mine soon... :)
Just need some advice as I'm new to boating. regarding the props for the 1/12th arun, I know I need four bladed props at 65mm, but the props are available in 4 different types A.B.C.D.    %% now which would be good form me ? if it was down to style I'd like to go for Raboesch 4 blade type C.  would this be good ? or does it even matter ... {:-{

Hi Mate, I have the 65mm Raboesch 4 blade type C on my Arun driven by brushless motors on 14.8 volts and it goes well over scale speed. Some of the members on here have seen it go and due to the size of the lake I cannot get it up to full speed, you have not said what motor your going to use but I would recommend you go for brushless setup as it will run far better.

Regards Dave.

Hi all, a bit more has been done on the Arun as in the rails along each side with the kick boards. It should be completed in a week or two then I will be looking forward to enjoy sailing her. :-))

As I am having my leg amputated in the coming weeks I may have to sell my pride and joy...my Arun... due to the size, I will not decide until I get over the operation but I think it will be to big for me to carry. Its a shame as it has not been out this season at all but I also have the option to swap it as well, time will tell.

Hi Dave sorry to hear about your leg & op but don't give up on your boat yet. If you send me the size of the roller I will make you one & mail it to you at no cost, just let me know. I hope everything works out good for you. Mick B.

Just a quick update on how things are going, I get fitted with my new leg on the 19th of this month and then the hard work starts on how to walk again. It will be a few months working on it at the Limb Centre before I will get to bring it home......a long way to go but I'm getting there. Just have to hope I can take to it without to many problems.

Regards Dave.
