I'm currently building Dean's HMS Amethyst (1/96) as the HMS Magpie. One problem I anticipate is the ship's nameplate. I'm reasonable certain that there is no commercially available Magpie nameplate. Does anyone know someone who creates custom nameplates, or failing that, know how to fabricate one? The other related issue is the ensign/hull designation- Magpie was U82. Amethyst was U16 and F116. Dean supplied decals for both designations, so I have the "U" but I'll need the "82" decal (or stencil)- any ideas?

Try an email to Ron Dean to see if he can supply the
decals you need.
Nameplate wise, the ship would have had a wooden
plate with the name Magpie in Brass block letters.

Very small at 1:96.
