7.2 Volt packs
« on: September 29, 2013, 08:51:41 pm »

Hello

Advice required,

I've been modeling for years but aways bought cheap second hand batteries and the like.

Well I've seen the error of my ways and want to get 3-4 quality packs that give good running times etc

Where do you get your pac's and what sort of money do you expect to pay

Thanks

Mark

There are plenty of places to buy but the Component Shop is very popular with model boaters and gives excellent service:

rc component shop.....

see  http://www.componentshop.co.uk/

no links but  just a satisfied customer,

the higher the 'Mah' the higher the capacity of the pack and the longer the run time.....

i  have bought these packs form far eastern  sellers on a web based auction site in the past ......regretted it !!!!

I pretty much use lithium batteries in everything now. Only one or two models still running on NiMH.

The capacity offerd by lithium is brilliant, they give much more punch than other batteries, and I find them very easy to maintain. Just make sure you charge them correctly.
