I normally work every day on the model but I had just enough. Before I give up and never finish it I took a break which gave me new energy to finish the model.

Today I wired the red/green position lights. I will glue the wires and cover them with paint.

Then I connected the wires for the radars .... they work just fine.

I made a short video which can be found at the following link ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar481w_FaHQ

I agree - and turning clockwise as well - plus, I had to turn up the volume to hear the motors at all. Nice. :-))

Smooth and quiet. I like the way they are rotating at different speeds.

I'm guessing that was a happy coincidence (?) but agree that it added a touch of realism that really set them off ! Lovely modelling as usual Danielle !

Today I finished the wiring ... I am happy that this part is finished. Now I can make all the details.
All wires are outside the mast on the original. So I did the same on my model.

That is a marvellous mast Danielle. The wiring adds a lot of detail and makes it look quite realistic.

Thanks a lot!!!  :-))

Today I built the GPS receiver and a searchlight (no function).

Then I added 2 antennas on the mast and 2 on the reling of the wheelhouse.

And as usual the whole ship with the new parts ...

I have no motivation to finish her at the moment ... it took so long to get to this stage and now .... puffffffffffff .... no motivation left. There is only the wiring, RC stuff, divergents, nets and some color to be added .... maybe 2-3 weeks work .... well see ...  %)

Back to finish the Loredana!
Today I made the hinges for the wheelhouse doors.
First I thought to leave them closed but then I see it as another nice detail to have them open or clese.

Good to see you back on this one.

As you have 2 doors, you could have one open and the other shut - best of both worlds. O0

Thanks a lot!!!!  :-)) :-)) :-))

Today I added 3 LEDs fot the interior lightning. I may have to color them a little bit to tone down the usual harsh light. Wiring is finished but is hold in place by painters scotchtape. This will be changed later.

Then I prepared the Radarmast so that it can be glued and screwed at its place.

I glued the hinges (doors) in place. Then I varnished the inside of the wheelhouse with clear shiny varnish.

Time to get all these windows in place!!!! Maybe tomorrow....

Good idea to hold stuff in while testing it. I think we have all been there when the carefully fitted component then fails to work and you have to get it off, sometimes destroying it in the process  :((

Hi Danielle, in fishing parlance the "trawl doors" would be called Otter Boards - hope this is of some use to you. :-)

All my pics have been blocked by Photobucket .... photobucket.com restricted my account .... I do not want to pay 39.99$/month to unblock them. Any idea of a good photoserver without the restrictions?

Update ... I found out that I can't even see my pics in my account on photobucket anymore. Unless I pay the 400$ all my pics are lost in all forums I posted them. All the hundreds of pictures gone forever .... I am shocked and I do not know what to do ....

Danielle,

I know there are others that also use some sort of photo hosting service of which I am not a fan off, because when you go to some of the older threads on here and on other forums, in some instances you can't see those photos. Ruins the thread.

However the photos posted from your own files such as from PC seem to be always available for viewing.

Bottom line you never have any control over photos etc unless they are 'stored' on a drive, be it external, that you alone control.

A lot will disagree but ??????????????????
