Hi all my name is John & i love to build models of all kinds, wood, plastic, & scratch build.
I have just been given a part built ZWARTE ZEE, on completion in 1933 was the largest salvage tug afloat.
The scale is 1/8 = foot, im happy to say the hull has been built as this will be my first build using plans.
Any help on this subject would be welcome.
John

Hi John and welcome to Mayhem.

This looks an interesting subject craft.  We'd like to see some pictures please and also be interested in a build blog.    :-))

Cheers

Welcome!

I'm also from Plymouth, but just starting my first ever build, a Tamar lifeboat.

Zwarte Zee sounds interesting, I've seen lots of stuff about Elbe and Z.Z was the tug which upstaged her so I'll look forward to seeing the build!

Got it in one.

Sorry about the limitations of the forum software but it's easy enough to reduce their sizes.     :-))

Right click the image on your computer, click Open With and then Paint. At the top of the window should be a button marked 'Scale', and you should be able to resize the picture. Use Save As to save it to a different file name so you don't resize your only copy of the picture and then you can upload the new one  :-))

Research and Design
Suggest you  put it on here, and the Mods might move it for you.If not put it under Tugs section.
Looks like a "Bustler" class tug?
Could probably be "Turmoil" of "Flying Enterprise" fame?
