With the experience you have acquired building this hull you should find clinker built life boats little trouble.   I have posted my method here. ( www.model-boats.com/builds/view/12171/2  ) . As in photos 6 inches long and floats.
 My trawler is painted but shows the plank runs, as the full size. Work boats are not perfect.
