A diary reminder for everyone on this, long running and well supported event in the "South of the North."
The theme this year is "Naval Vessels and Submersibles" so submarines will be there - including an AMS stand and daily pool demo.

Only 6 weeks to the show we are just finalising details.  As usual us Scousers will be meeting up with friends for the usual good humoured banter.

Hi
Only thirteen days to the Convention and once again we have Modelling Sport Of Russia in attendance.  They do not have clubs like us.  Last year they collected many awards for their amazing modelling skills, one boat was constructed completely out of wood even the ropes.  See Convention website for more details.  See you there.

Well despite a wet start to the morning the sun did come out to play and made for a good start to the weekend, just a few pictures to start with.

Possibly the best model boat show that I've been to in the last decade or so.

For me it was a great weekend , met up with a lot of friends and met some new ones, weather held out today for the out door pool display  and I even took my jumper off when out side which is rare.. :-)) :-))

Hi Guys. I and other members of Kirklees Model Boat Club would like to thank all involved for making the Convention such a great weekend. Lots of models to see covering all subjects and great trade support. There were lots of visitors all keen to ask about the models on display. I had lots of questions about my model of USS Gambier Bay asking what are you going to do with it, sell it, give to a museum? The answer I told many people this weekend was it will be going back in a very large box and it will not be seen again until it can be displayed with a second Escort carrier model. I would like to thank everyone for your positive comments on my model over this weekend. I have enclosed pictures of Gambier Bay going back into its very large box this evening away from sunlight and dust.
