Glad you enjoyed yourself Andy, why not bring your fantastic carrier to next years show, we pride ourselves in displaying " works in progress " as it gives people an insight into how a model is built.
We will happily accommodate you in one of the gazebo`s
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the National Warship Weekend, but a special mention to the following....
Rex and Mandy, Adam and his better half, Michael and his friend from Southern Ireland, the Belgian contingent, Steve Pickering {Chylds Hall Model shipyard} Robin and John {Scale shipyard} our great friend Dave Wooley, the boys from Balne moor, Nick and his son, the Edinburgh guys and of course, our friends from our local clubs,
Most of these guys travelled hundreds of miles to join us for the weekend and we are truly grateful. without your continued support, the show would not be as successful as it is.
2014 was in fact, our most successful show to date, the count was 176 warships on display, this must easily be the largest dedicated Model Warship Event in the country.
The prize winners were......
Best in show....USS Nimitz..Chris Bullock
Runner up......HMS Melville..Michael Loney
Bill Loney Memorial Trophy........HMT Three Kings....Gary Mills.
I have a few hundred photos to sort through and will post them up as soon as I can (Work is a pain sometimes)
The dates of the 2015 National Warship Weekend will be published when we have them finalised, so watch please this space
