Nice to see that people still make there own electronic bits . It must be an age since I wielded a soldering iron in anger  .

Regarding making your own cables I have used this place for ages  for all my cables pins and plugs and the crimper itself which if I recall correctly was under £20 . Works great and is probably one of the best money saviong tools I have ever brought . Paid for itself many times over .
