another Seaport tg
« on: March 19, 2014, 12:14:46 pm »

Hi all,
I got given a second hand Seaport hull (no controller) by someone having a coasting so after trolling for a bit in the forums thought I would have a go at converting the hull to something more pleasing.
So far I have ripped it all apart so I can junk the RC gear and workout what the hull can take. I want to turn it into a modern harbour tug at about 1/32scale.
The conversion is going to have to wait until I finish my Springer but I am wondering how hard it would be to convert to twin screw - this hull has badly warped plastic around the stern seal so is going to have to be modified around there anyway?

Hi Jay,

I looked into this a little while ago and thought it was too much effort.
But if you are going to modify the hull stern anyway then it maybe worth a go.

I think the convex shape should be convex for twin screw setup..... but what do I know?!
