Is this Club still going at the old Lion park Site ?, If so is there a new Website..?

I read that they had moved to a different pond in Tamba Park ?.

Alas the J.M.B.C. is no more. Due to circumstances (the new owner of Tamba Park selling our clubhouse and moving us to a smaller  pond in the park ) it was thought by many that now with nothing really to call our own that we would disband the club. A few of the ex members still sail at Tamba, but a few of us decided to look for new water and found a  totally unused lake with amazing owners who encourage our use of it, we have a towing/steering course, harbour and good launching facility. See Jersey model tug association on Facebook and it will give you all about us. We are still active in showing and raised over £1.000 in July for a local charity we also have had two shows at our local steam museum and already we are planning further shows 2017.

Great shame you lost the old place as it was a great venue.  I thought that they had provided you with a new clubhouse , what is the pond being used for now.

They scrapped our old clubhouse, then built us a new one at the smaller pond which we furnished with new carpets etc, put in water, electricity. outside decking, really made a great effort to make it look really good ,so good in fact we bankrupt the club! A short time later he decided to move the club to an even smaller pond and sold the clubhouse. They now share whats left with slot boats, ride in electric boats also a zorb and anything else available.      I am so glad we have found a new secure pond.
