I've noticed when I unplug my delta peak charger
when the led goes green to show charge complete the led goes back to red
The only power for the led is from the battery.
So in a word   Possibly.

On occasion I have left a nicad battery pack from my cordless drill in the charger after charging and shut off the supply at the socket. On return a to use the battery it's been flat, so, once again....

Possibly!

On the basis that you can't see the circuit in the charger then assume quite probably it may do.
An unplugged charger that is still connected to the battery has (unknown) circuitry between the battery terminals which could constitute a small load and thus discharge.
Always best to disconnect the battery leads after charging.

Defo Neil Allways dissconnect the leads as it will power hte charger backwards and flatten your batt,if left long enough it will ruin a batt.........Had this happen on a cordless drill and batt was Kaput....seen it alos on a car batt charger so in a WORD

DISSCONNECT
