Victorian Fleet review
« on: September 12, 2014, 09:42:40 pm »

I was informed today that  there seemed to be no pictures published of the Victorian Battleship review at Wicksteed this year.
Here are mine.

Just getting into rivet counting mode...did the second picture show a ship flying an inverted union flag on the mainmast ?  Court Martial at sea ? Ship in distress ? Both ?  We should be told  >>:-( ... :}

I just found these and thank you for posting. Great shots. Canopus with the fore and aft funnels (Victorian colours) and Lord Nelson (grey with lots of turrets) are both mine.

Some really good shots of everybody there. It was a very enjoyable day but could have been a little better if the wind had ben less but at least the Sunday was dry!

We should all try to get together at another venue for a Victorian day and try some formation sailing. I seem to recall this was very hard given the windy conditions - like herding cats!

Thanks again Geoff
