THE MONUMENT.

Frank kindly sent me a 1/25 figure of a GI, I pondered what to do with him and then I thought the pose looked so good that I would try a brassing technique and mount him as a monument on a plinth. The plinth is small real bricks with real slate tops, the figure has been painted in a brass paint once dry it has had a verdigris of acrylic, once dry it was then sealed and then a oil wash added.

Cheers guys it worked really well, better than I hoped for. After the wash was added I buffed back in places-really pleased with the results.

Just to add that this technique worked so well I am going to use the same effect on a small Fletcher class, may even attempt some sea also.

Hi Si.
upped some pic of my resin model of the commando memorial at spean bridge so you can see what the base is like on it for comparison.
