Styrene to wood please.

What would be the best adhesive to glue styrene sheet to my ply subdeck? The obvious choice would be epoxy but is there anything else out there?

Acrylic glue will be super strong as it melts/keys into the plastic, unlike epoxy which just bonds to the surface.

UHU plus Acrylit is pretty much the same stuff but is a little cheaper and easier to find in the UK

Thank you all for the suggestions, I'll have a look at getting some of them in to my collection.

HobbyKing has two-component acrylate:

I usually throw one of these (or epoxy) when I have some shipping weight left.

That suff is evil!
We fixed a lower rear suspension arm on my sons 1:10 Nitro Touring Car with that stuff, along with 2 pins drilled through to hold it.  6 race weekends later its still in one piece!  :o  I was going to swap it for a new one but we decided to wait and see how well it held lol.

I didn't suggest the HK glue as some people get funny about stuff from there and it usually ends in an argument

Acrylate is indeed pretty strong. Just a pain to work with because of the short pot life (6-7 minute-ish, maybe a couple extra minutes when below 15°C). Overall  I like Epoxy better but there are a few plastics (styrene, ABS) on which epoxy just doesn't work.

Never had any issue so far. Most of my electronics and motors come from HK these days. All of my LiPos.

Reading the reviews and discussions usually helps you skip the lousy stuff.

Hi, Go to a plastics supplier and get a tube of "Stixall". Good stuff. Nemesis
