CADMA Northern Model Boat Show 2015
« on: November 20, 2014, 03:37:16 pm »

Hot of the press I have just spoken to CADMA and the date for the show in 2015 is Saturday/Sunday 6th and 7th of June. The event will take place at the deaf school opposite the Doncaster race course. No more information at this time.

Thank you for the heads up Stan - I've not been to that one since 1997 when it was held at the racecourse :embarrassed:

Must make the effort this time :-))

Regards,

Ray.

Just a warning to anyone planning to drive there and park at the back of the Exhibition Hall. Last year the pool was emptied during the course of Sunday afternoon (without warning) and the cars which were parked in the area marked in red in my sketch were stranded in several inches of water. Either avoid parking in that area (irrespective of what the nice little boy in uniform might tell you) or carry a pair of wellies with you.
I found out the wet way, and I won't be going again after the reception my complaint received. Driving 50 miles home with soaking shoes, trousers and socks isn't my idea of a good day out.

Went to the show today for the first time, lots of traders & public, but there was a downer today a boat was taken off one off the club stand without permission (in other words STOLEN),I know security costs money, but is there a way without security to try and stop this happening, this is the second one that I have heard and it is not funny,is there any photos or info so I can a least pass this on to other sites that I belong to.I just hope this model is found and the person/persons responsible are charged with theft.
