« on: December 20, 2014, 11:42:09 am »

Come on you tuggers, the first real competition of the year at Balne Moor.  The format will be for two man towing teams, £1 per boat entry fee.

There will also be a scale steering competition, entry fee £1.50per boat.

As at all BMMBC events there will be refreshments, home made cakes and a warm welcome, so come along and have a go!

Sorry, :embarrassed: 12th April.

I posted this on a link from the Calendar and did not realise it would not necessarily include the date.  I'll remember next time!

Cheers.

That's great Adam, hope you can make it :-))

By the way I shall be publishing other BMBC tug towing events in the calendar, but if you want to see the full programme for the year have a look on www.balnemoormbc.co.uk

Hi,
I'm a huge tug fan and have several tugs, I have never entered any form of competition with tugs but would like to have a go just to see what its like (I used to race motorbikes quite successfully but tugs are much safer and don't bite if you get it wrong). I am in Southport and would probably travel over with someone else as its around a two hour journey from here. Do we need to contact you first or just turn up on the day?
       Cheers,
           Peter.H.Farrell. :-))

  Hi Peter
You are welcome any time, just decide what you would like to come to then just turn up, there are a number of days for towing
the Pro/Am weekend is a good one tug lads there to give advice, have a look on our web site you will get all the dates what is going
off at Balne Moor. If you can not get any one to come and tow with you that's no problem we can fit you up with a team mate.
What tug would you tow with?.  The lads from E/Port come to Balne Moor so it could be a good idea to visit E/Port in March you could
get a go there, any way it will be nice to see a fresh face at the towing, all the best for the new year hope to see you then. :-))

   regards

   John
