Sailing at Kirklees MBC
« on: March 31, 2015, 09:46:33 am »

Sunday 29th March a very poor day wet and cold. But the odd model was seen on the water or under it while our first sail race was being held. Hopefully more to follow in future.

Sunday 12 April  windy and cold at Kirklees. I managed to get a few pictures from this morning while our Island Endurance  event was being run.

The corvette and MTB, reminds me I really need to reconsider all other boat projects and refit the E boat and my corvette, then have something other than a little LCM and HMS Sovereign to use, I think the original little MTB I have needs to be archived and its other version built better, superb vessels - need to up my game.

My models are not nice, clean and ship-shape. They be mucky, grubby, rusty and smelly.

Just few shots from last Sunday. Nice model of the Revell 1/144 scale Fletcher class destroyer and a 1/200 scale Trumpeter Sovremeny both fitted with radio. A few shots of our club 500 event.  The captain of the boat in last picture decided to try and run upside down in both races better luck next time. More pictures to follow when time allows

This unusual model was seen this morning. It goes back to the Caldercraft period and you do not see many of them about. The model is Branneran and I think it was Swedish tanker.

Some more pictures from Sunday mornings . The paddler is now a rare sight. The small model is from the Vintage Model Boat Company I think.
