Hello : )
« on: June 06, 2015, 07:18:14 pm »

Hello,
Name is Steve, been into models for years. Started with boats and then went to cars but returned to boats as they chill me out. Not part of any club, just go down the canal on me tod normally. Avatar boat is scratch built out my head, no plans. Made from mdf, insulation foam and good old cardboard. Its 26ish inches long and about 7 inches wide. 385 motor and 7.4 volt lipo, goes ok. Planning something smaller as my main mode of transport is a scooter, so need some thing upto 16 inches long to go under the seat. Gonna be a pusher tug type thing, made mainly out of cardboard with a bit of wood thrown in for good measure. Hope to pick up some ideas and will try and help if i can.

Thank you Google, didnt know the answers to the verification questions  %%

Looked at the Springers, did make one but binned it. Looking at something a bit like the Jenny Sue by Glynn Guest.
I have made a basic hull out a cornflake packet to see what it looks like and i think hull wise it will be ok. Will use better
card and it will be single motor / rudder not like Glynn's design. But i will probably use his motor recommendation of a 360.
