I use epoxy quite often, most usually the two tube variety from Devcon that you mix a small amount in equal quantities. Two varieties, Five Minute and Two Ton. Not a problem before today.
I always make sure that the two tubes are of the same type, as I did today.
I made sure both were 5 Minute, and mixed some from the brown tube with some from the white tube as normal.
However, after two hours the stuff was showing no signs of going off and the bits I was trying to fix were getting increasingly messy. Three hours. Still no setting.
Finally I get to the part where I could give myself an almighty kicking.
They used to visually differentiate the tubes, one white one brown. Now they are both white.
What I had actually done was mix an older 5 Minute hardener (brown tube) with a new 5 Minute hardener (white tube)
