I 'm new to model boating but not to modeling .Feb. this year I was given a Billings model wooden trawler started but needed to be completed I set out to fine out as much as possible found a local model boating club and joined in on there meetings finished the trawler and got the bug to build a model from start to finish I ordered a model from the States of Model slipways the Yorkshireman it will be coming in July.
I'm 68 years old live in Canada Stoney Creek Ontario .

Actually, insanity is not compulsory ... it's just that none of us have taken up the sanity option!

Strong boat the Slipways Yorkshireman.... StoneyCreekshireman?!

No more a madhouse than the model train forum I log on to.
From the posts I've been reading there's lots of help and information here and that's what I look forward to.

Hi Rick, you made a good choice with Model Slipway they build into good strong models, I built a one of their Envoy class tugs last year, it's on here under HMS Enigma, a good size and heavy enough to sail it rough conditions, out of all my boats she is the one I enjoy sailing the most, and the people at Model Slipway are very helpful should any thing be missing in the kit, good luck with your build, I'll look out for it.   :-))
