« on: June 01, 2015, 10:52:32 am »

Hello! :-)
I am in my period of making some order in my worksop and drawers.
It has been a long time since I have this Gas Attenuator Valve laying in a box in the end of a drawer marked : " Later"  %)
Time has come for it,  but I am stucked! :embarrassed:
I have no clue of how to re-assemble it.
If anyone has a drawing, I would be more that gratefull!
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards.

Kbio.........I wouldn't bother ( just my humble opinion)

I had one fitted to my cheddar with twin Puffin engines in a tug........and could never get it to work........it would hut the burner down long before the kettle got up to steam pressure.

As I needed a certificate on the boiler I took it along to our local club in Lytham and the gentleman who tested boilers for the club, tried getting it to work, but in the end advised me to just take it off because they were temperamental especially when they had been left some time without use ( as mine had) and steam up without it attached.

I did, and never had any problems at all.

Good morning! :-)
Thanks for your answer Neil! I disassembled a lot of control & mesuring devices in my life, but I must admit that this one stucks me solid.
What bothers me the most is, the side port on the lower part. The steam from the boiler is nearby to pass through= too close.
I wait a bit more for someone with an answer, if not, I shall do as you say and I'llput it back in its drawer .
Nice steam assy, you show! :-))
Kind regards.

Thanks to Kenny & Delaunay to sort out my mess. I'll try better next time.
