Hi all well I got £100 off my boss for xmas so ordered some gold leaf for the infamous ship a 1/16 revell VW Karmenn Ghia and managed to find German 1/8 machine gun for this dio 29.99 (bit pricey and it's not even a kit) I figure the effort I've put into this and the cost of the kit it will be worth it (yes it's a German machine gun but I figure they could have stolen it)

Make a  Sten too, it would be simple to make..they didn't call it a "Woolworth gun" for no reason. They were supposed to have cost 7/6d  (75p) to make in the 50s.  The car is manifique  and on the other cheek

I was just playing with the 3d printer tonight and saw an STL of a Sten gun.... should be easy to scale it to 1/8th scale :)

I would definitly prefetr an Mg34 or 42 to a Bren or Chatterault any day:O) You would need to do over a few Wehrmacht armouries to feed the bleeder, but it would certainly keep them Bosches heads down.

(Compliments to our German members, The term I used is period specific and not meant to represent Germans today.)

Lovely weathering effect on the fuel tank/secret storage comartment for Maquis ammo:O)

Not great.... I think the model is too detailed and the walls are too thin.
Will need to edit slightly

Still not perfect but I think a man of your talents can finish it off with a bit of filler primer and a file :)

Hi all I've pretty much had it with car kits, Ive been told I'm ruining a classic kit, feeling pretty deflated now, I thought this was some of the best work I had done. will stick to ships in the future.

Know what Ken let ordinary modellers build shiny classic cars as you don't come into that category keep doing it your way, just about anyone can put a kit together, it takes skill to make it so lifelike you have to look twice at a photo to see it's a model,  :-)) :-))

Not so.  There will be thousands of this kit built as a shiny new car, your version is unique.  Keep going please.

Sorry mate they know sod all! As others say anyone can stick a kit together and make it shine, but people like you and also Eddiesolo bring them to life! that is a talent not many have

Ask the one who claims you're ruining it to post up some of their work. I'll bet my collection of Models they aren't a patch on yours!

Hi all well this will be my last post on this one till at least next friday as off for the funeral in Scotland tomorrow.
I broke and lost part of the steering last night so had to make a new bit

gave the bottom another coat of muck and added a bit of grease

also (although my art days are way behind me nowadays)(and I never could do portraits)this is supposed to be Rene from Allo Allo, he will be behind a dirty window in the dio so I may get away with it, if not there's always plan B.
