Is it the right way up? I ask as you are obviosuly a fan of European warships and their tumblehome, and so could well be sat upright waiting for sponsons and funny shaped turrets:O)

Another gorgeous model to keep an eye out for here.

I'll be following that build very closely, I've had plans for a long time to build a what if pre dreadnought based on steampunk ideas and early 20th century clockwork toys. Love your Borodino, have you ever read Pleshakov's book called The Tsar's Last Armada? You kind of feel sorry for the Borodino and her crew, fantastic book and a chapter in naval history I didn't know about until recently.

Thanks for your comments  both Ballastankian and Nick , yes  it  is the right way up have a look at the french warship Camot 1891, I also found a russian boat with a submarine type tumble home amazing ! I thought about clockwork  and rc for this one, these hulls/models are fun to build and with a little thought  easy to put together and are very multi media , card balsa plastic , other kits endless possibilities,  regards  pete

At this rate Pete, you are going to need a storage facility just for your fleet, let alone materials and tools etc!

I know the style of ship you mean, they are lovely though their shape is very sinister, especially being painted black.

Great fleet Pete,

Just the odd bit of 'brasswork' on the peak works wonders against the black.

Thankyou for the  feedback ,  because of the simplfied build  techniques the build time is very quick if anything  the painting is  the most time consuming part, regards  pete
